Mark the date, Xiaomi fans: Mi 8, Mi Band 3 and MIUI 10 to be launched on May 31
The Chinese tech giant keeps their momentum going with new product updates
The Chinese electronics manufacturer believes it’s all about momentum. As it continues its impressive growth on several key markets thanks to their entry-to-mid tier handsets, the company announced a combined launch next week for their new flagship Xiaomi Mi 8 and popular smart watch Mi Band 3. To top it off, they’re also unveiling the latest iteration of their MIUI Android OS.
A slew of posts across the inter webs started the announcements for the launch event happening on May 31st. And with it are drool-worthy images of the Xiaomi Mi 8 and cool snaps of their latest Mi Band. In addition, a teaser showing the number 10 with a caption “Faster than Lightning” was shared by Xiaomi on their official Weibo page bringing up hopes that this latest OS version brings a whole lot of improvements and usability to Xiaomi smartphones worldwide. For a quick rundown of the Mi 8 specs, here’s what we know so far: Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage. Dual 16MP cameras adorn the back while the front boasts of an 8MP selfie camera. Early reports suggest that it will come packed with a 4000mAH battery with fast-charging.
The Mi Band will sport the usual array of health-tracking features and seems to be a tad curvier compared to its predecessor.
