Xiaomi Mi TV 4: The Smart TV with Top Performance and Integrated Voice Assistant
The Chinese tech giant keeps their momentum going with new product updates
Xiaomi introduced the new Smart TV, a 75-inch Mi TV 4 that is even thinner than a smartphone. It was also one of Xiaomi’s most expensive Smart TVs.
Xiaomi also introduced MIUI 10, the interface used by mobile devices, Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE, as well as Mi Band 3, in its eighth-anniversary special. All of these products were already expected from various rumors, but Xiaomi also introduced some unexpected products during the event. The most striking of these was the 75-inch Mi TV 4 Smart TV.
The Mi TV 4 is certainly appreciated for its considerable size, and a massive 75-inch LED display. And despite this, the company managed to give this television an ultra-thin design (11.4 mm thin).
If there is something that we like about Xiaomi, it is that in absolutely all its products, it follows some lines of design that share the same philosophy. This smart television reflects this very well since it has a brutal design with a tiny frame and the signature logo on the bottom.
Mi TV 4 is powered by a quad-core 64-bit ARM-A53 processor and has 2GB of RAM. The device has a 32GB memory so you can set up any application easily and it also has an artificial intelligence assisted voice assistant so that you can command the TV by voice. The device also includes Dolby Audio and DTS-HD support for the best audio experience.
In terms of connectivity, we have three HDMI ports, two USB, Ethernet, antenna input (DTMB, none of DVB-T2 yet), AV input and S/PDIF output. The two speakers are 8 watts each.
The 75-inch Mi TV 4 will meet consumers with a ¥8999 (~$1405) price tag. Not surprisingly, Mi TV 4 is one of Xiaomi’s most expensive Smart TVs. Xiaomi has not provided any explanation as to whether the device will go on sale in the global market.
