Connectivity and performance
LEM 4 Pro operates under control of Mediatek MTK6580 1.0GHz processor and 1 GB RAM, which is more than enough for the needs of this wearable. In addition to fitness features, it can be linked to smartphone via Bluetooth to display incoming messages. It also has a Nano SIM card slot, so it can easily work as a full-fledged smartphone with a 3G connection. There are also microphone and speakers, but since they’re small, don’t expect Hi-Fi quality. Network access is provided by GSM network or WiFi modem for broadband internet.
And that’s barely all features – the 1.3 MP camera allows you to take photos, and even make video calls via Skype. LEM 4 Pro will also find its use as a personal assistant: in addition to the calendar, it’s able to synchronize all emails, applications and text messages in one app. Since it’s driven by Android OS, the interface is available in basically all languages, including English, although the manual contained in the box is in Chinese only.
Display and apps
Its 2.2-inch screen is probably the largest display we’ve seen in any smartwatch. It has a resolution of 320 x 240 px and such large surface makes it easier to tap and swipe the apps. At this size you can even be tempted to install games from Google Play store to spend some gaming time while commuting to work or school. Also, writing a text messages on a virtual keyboard is quite convenient and the panel responds accordingly to touch.
The sports tracking include a pedometer and a heart rate monitor. Your vitals are registered continuously, which means that you can peruse it later in the app. In addition to the number of steps you took, you can also accurately measure the distance traveled using GPS, that can be also displayed the Google map. Among other software there is a browser, voice-enabled Google, multimedia player, weather forecast, Find My Phone (or actually a smartwatch) and calendar. If this is still not enough for you, you can easily expand its functionalities, because Android 6.0 allows you to install any app you want into its 16 GB of internal memory. Unfortunately, there is no memory card slot, so this available storage is all you’ve got for files and software.
Design and battery
Finally someone released a 3G smartwatch with a solid battery that is even 2-3 times bigger than the one we can find in its competitors, like Zeblaze Thor. A 1200 mAh cell allows for 9 days of standby operation, 4 hours of talk time, or up to two days of standard use.
Unfortunately, this means that it gets to be thick and it weighs a lot. At 77 grams it’s almost half the weight of most five inch smartphones. The buttons are arranged on the sides and were also designed in a way at least to visually reduce its bulky size. The straps are available in several colors and can be replaced when worn out. LEMFO also provides several dozen types of digital dials to choose from, so you can customize look to suit your mood, changing it anytime you want. The robust design and black casing makes the LEM 4 Pro style a smartwatch designed primarily for men.
Lemfo LEM 4 Pro is not a mere smartwatch, but a versatile device that can entirely replace your smartphone, especially that it has sufficiently strong battery, so you can fully tap into its features like video calls or website browsing without draining all the power in fifteen minutes. If you don’t mind its blocky look and leaden weight, you’ll have pleasant experience using this computer-smartwatch-smartphone in one.
