Helio P60-powered Vivo X21i Released in China

The successor to last year's Vivo X21 gets an SoC refresh

With a retail price of $425, the Vivo X21i is technically a midrange phone, yet it manages to do it in such a sophisticated-looking package you’d think you’re looking at a flagship device.

Last week, Vivo officially released the Vivo X21i. This is the successor to the original Vivo X21 that was launched in March 2017. The latest iteration of this series features a MediaTek Helio P60 compared to the less-powerful Snapdragon 660 SoC of its older sibling.

Specs and Features

The Vivo X21i looks like your typical 2018 premium smartphone: showcasing ultra-thin bezels and featuring an ever-popular notch which Apple introduced. Speaking of screen, it’s a vibrant Super AMOLED with an impressive 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. Overall, the screen is huge, coming in at 6.28-inches with an aspect ratio of 19:9.

The build is all metal and glass, exuding a premium look thanks to a sleek and thin design. At the back, you’ll see the fingerprint scanner and dual camera lenses. The main camera sports maxes at 12-megapixels with an f/1.8 aperture. The second camera is 5-megapixels and has an f/2.4 aperture. This combo allows for clear portrait shots with creamy bokeh and landscape snaps in high-def. But perhaps even more impressive is the 24-megapixel selfie camera that can also double as a facial scanner if you wish to. Cool.

The Mediatek Helio P60 processor is backed by either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 126GB of internal storage, depending on the model. The phone offers microSD support for cards up to 256GB. Completing the package is a 3,245mAH battery which supports fast-chargin, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip. Running the show is Android Oreo 8.1. You can choose from three colors: Aurora White, Polar Night Black, and Ruby Red color.

Online stores apparently don’t have this in stock yet but if you’re interested in its older sibling, the X21, here are some links where you can get them.

Where to find

Given the high end price of this device, we suggest you to buy it from Amazon or Aliexpress. Other shops might not provide the same reliability for after-sales
