The Huawei P30 Pro Appears in the MWC and Makes Prototype Debut

We have seen a prototype of the Huawei P30 Pro at the MWC, and it is not exactly what we expected to see. We tell you some of its features.

Huawei presented this week one of the most revolutionary (and expensive) mobiles we have ever seen. The Huawei Mate X is a folding device that will go on sale this year when 5G connectivity becomes a reality. But for the general public, the important announcement will take place on March 26, when the company will present the new P30 Series.

There are many details and leaks we have seen of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, but the MWC has gone a little further. In Digital Trends, they have had access to a prototype of the Huawei P30 Pro that has left us with some doubts.

As you can see in the images, the device has three cameras in its back, when it was expected to come with four. However, it is important to make clear that this unit is a prototype and that it could be different from the final production unit.

If we look at the back area, we see the texts Vogue and Link. The first refers to the code name of the Huawei P3o Pro and the second will be replaced by the Leica brand when the time comes.

There is a theory that fits previous leaks with what is seen here. It could be that the model of the P30 with four rear cameras was the terminal with 5G of the company. Yes, the same as what Samsung has shown in the Galaxy S10. If true, the P30 Pro would have a normal sensor, a wide-angle and a telephoto and the P30 Pro 5G the same cameras along with a fourth, a ToF sensor.

The other details are seen make this mobile a device very similar to its predecessor, with the same buttons and ports, such as the USB C connector or the speaker in the lower area. Of course, it has no visible fingerprint sensor when it is under the screen.

At the bottom only found USB Type-C and speakers, making it follow in the footsteps of the Mate 20 Pro which doesn’t embed a 3.5 mm audio jack. The power and volume buttons are on the left side of the cellphone, while the SIM card slot is at the top.

We are sure that before March 26 we will know more about these phones. Huawei has in its hand again a leap with respect to last year; we will have to see if it really does or if it is satisfied with a smaller iteration.
