Oppo Realme 3 is Released with Great Specifications and Killer Price
The Realme 3 is the successor to the Realme 1 and Realme 2 launched last year
Realme 3 is Realme’s newest release (one of the mobile divisions of Oppo) in the segment of medium-sized smartphones with a focus on cost and benefit. But it is not because it is an intermediary device, that Realm 3 becomes mediocre.
Starting with the design, the device is large without being bulky, remembering the current line tops. The water-drop notch is very discreet and does not disturb the viewing of content on your 6.22-inch LCD screen. The HD+ resolution is a bit low by the standards of 2019; they are 1520 x 720 pixels. However, if you have never used flagship handsets with very high-resolution screens, this will not be a bother.
The 720p resolution gives you even more lightweight applications, which makes the MediaTek Helio P70 (P60 outside India) perform well in all kinds of activities, yet it helps save energy. And, by the way, Realm 3 comes with a very generous battery, with its 4230 mAh. The lightweight ColorOS 6.0 graphical interface, which runs on top of the Android 9 Pie, also helps in device performance.
On the cameras, the Realme 3 has two rear sensors: the main one has 13 MP, and the second one has 2 MP. The front camera has 13 MP. They do not make ugly pictures taken during the day, but you cannot abuse them in dark environments. When in doubt, it is better to use the flash.
To unlock the screen, your smartphone has two options: a dedicated fingerprint reader on the back and facial scanning. Both work very well, quickly and without fail.
Besides the good specifications, the Realme 3 has as main attractiveness the low price. The device is available in versions with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory and with 4 GB and 64 GB. Both have a memory card slot with a capacity of up to 256 GB extra, with the simplest model coming out for approximately $125, and the hottest model for $155.
