Meizu Zero – The Minimalist Smartphone Without Buttons or Ports

The Chinese manufacturer Meizu surprises with its latest creation that has no physical buttons, speaker or connectors.

While many are worried about removing the frames of the screen, even making holes in the panel of their phones, Meizu seems to have seen the trend and wanted to go further. The company has removed all the ports, buttons and even speaker slots of your new smartphone – the Meizu Zero.

It is known for its smartphones inspired mainly by the Apple iPhone, the Chinese Meizu surprise by proposing a concept this time more original, although it is reminiscent of another competitor. The Meizu Zero is reminiscent of the Galaxy S9 with its 6-inch AMOLED screen with curved edges, no home button or notch. But Meizu was not content with that and did away with all the physical buttons.

Its one-piece ceramic case has no USB-C jack or headphone, no speaker grille. The only visible holes are the two microphones on the bottom edge of the phone which is otherwise waterproof. Meizu has opted for eSIM technology, as on the latest iPhone, to do without a physical SIM card drawer. Charging and data transfer is via a wireless link.

The only way to charge the Meizu Zero battery is using a wireless charging base, but fortunately, the phone promises to be ridiculously fast when it comes to powering its battery, thanks to its 18W wireless charging capacity, the fastest smartphone up now in this section.

Of rest, it is a solid piece of ceramic that has resistance to water and dust. Among its features, it has a dual camera system of 12 + 20 MP and a kind of touch button for the ignition that replaces the traditional physical button.

The Meizu Zero will be marketed

The screen itself produces the sound itself. Virtual buttons on the edges control volume and power with a haptic system that produces vibrations. The Meizu Zero also incorporates a fingerprint sensor in the screen for unlocking.

Meizu has announced neither the price nor the availability of this high-end smartphone, but a representative assured that it would be well marketed. We remember that the brand had already proposed an innovative design with its Meizu 7 Pro dual screen.
