One million units sold and counting. Fast.

How many months does it take to sell a million phones? Ask Huawei, with a smug smile they’ll probably say, “Just one month.”

It’s true. Honor 10 phones are flying off the shelves faster than you can arrange them. In Europe alone, it was reported that all Honor 10 phones were sold in less than 24 hours. What’s up with this phone?

Taking a closer look, the Honor 10 is a mid-range smartphone with the genes of a flagship. How? By packing in top-of-the-line hardware and selling it at a medium-range price. Clearly, Huawei knows how to reel people in. What’s inside, exactly? For starters, Huawei slapped a Kirin 970 processor with either 6GB or 4GB of RAM. This runs the Android 8.1 Oreo OS (with an EMUI 8.1 skin on top) within its 64GB/126GB internal storage. For those not familiar, Kirin is Huawei’s in-house SoC that they install in almost all of their smartphones. While not exactly a Snapdragon killer, the Kirin chip definitely holds its ground and provides superb performance for most applications. The phones is powered by a 3400maH battery.

But perhaps the main draw of the Honor 10 is its camera. Featuring a dual-lens setup with phase detection, it was able to produce stunning images thanks to its camera AI. The FHD screen is ample at 5.84 inches and for ports, we’re happy to report that a USB-C was used with support for fast charging.

This brings us to the most important question: Price. How much is an Honor 10 smatphone? It retails for around $500-$530 in the US. Pretty sweet, right? In this day and age of $700-flagships, offering something as almost powerful but at about $200-plus less is awesome. One might argue that “true” flagship phones like the iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S9 still win overall but Huawei stuck to their guns and showed that people care more about value than the brand name. If you’re not convinced, just ask the 1 million users who bought the Honor 10 this month.

If you can’t get your hands on this latest smartphone from Huawei, here their other offerings that also provide plenty of value for your money:
