Honor Announces K2 Kids Smartwatch Wearable for the Little Ones
From China comes the news of the announcement of Honor K2 Kids Smartwatch, a device purely dedicated to smaller users.
Smart watches for children have become a fun way to better monitor what they are doing when we cannot be near them. Honor has a new model that has been named Honor K2 Kids. It is a smartwatch designed for children, including a security system that allows parents to identify the positioning of their children.
Honor The company has not yet announced the price of a smartwatch, but it will be available on December 26th. While the K2 Kids Honor smartwatch is available for pre-order, delivery starts from December 26. It is on the same date that the company plans to release its Honor v20 smartphone too.
The smartwatch comes with a 1.3-inch TFT touchscreen with a 240 x 240-pixel screen resolution. It has 4 MB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory and supports nano-SIM. However, Near Field Communication (NFC) is not supported.
It comes with a silicone strap and is suitable for wrists ranging from 110 to 180 mm. The Honor K2 Kids is IP67 certified to resist water so as not to spoil them in the rain or when children wash their hands. It supports several functions, including address book, voice calls, call recording, SOS emergency calls, and more.
In addition to all this, it also supports features such as SMS/message display, call notification, weather, stopwatch, alarm clock, and other basic functions. The device also supports adding friends, starting a chat with friends, a family group chat, and more. Regarding security, it includes a function to locate children. It also supports a reward system in which parents can give rewards and children are classified as friends.
Regarding connectivity, the Honor K2 Kids smartwatch will be compatible with Android smartphones. The Honor K2 Kids will be compatible with phones running Android 4.4 KitKat and higher or iOS 9.0 and above. The device is powered by a 660 mAh battery, which is claimed to provide seven days of standby time. It takes two hours to charge fully.
